David Heller

David is originally from Montreal, Canada, but having grown up in Costa Rica, he developed a deep admiration for nature conservation and biodiversity. He grew up understanding the devastating effects of rainforests and habitat loss.

David has spent the last decade working on behalf of the environment and climate change, working with Indigenous communities and various Governments throughout Latin America to obtain Carbon Credit commitments in the REDD+ framework.

Understanding the importance of Indigenous communities in mitigating Green House Gas Emissions and their effects on Climate Change led him to form a not-for-profit company, CarbonDivest.org. In this place, businesses and individuals can support Indigenous communities by offsetting their carbon footprint and allowing them to care for the planet's forests. The funds are then used to develop the nature-based projects of each indigenous community we work with and to get those projects carbon credit certified.

David's education and background are in Software Engineering and Biochemistry. His passion is sitting in a jungle environment and observing the beauty within.

He realized there was more he could offer by creating a cryptocurrency that would change how indigenous communities can conserve their nature-based projects and bring needed assistance to their socio-economic status.

As his vision expanded, he became the architect of what we call "The Game Changer" By creating and launching IndigiCoin, there will be a new method to help indigenous communities, fund nature-based conservation projects, and mitigate climate change. A new ecosystem is being developed around IndigiCoin.
